Kia Seltos & Sonet PDI Inspection Checklist: Paint & Infotainment Check
Kia vehicles are renowned across India for their tech-loaded cockpits, aggressive tiger-nose grilles, and punchy turbo powertrains. When buying a new Kia Seltos or Kia Sonet, verifying electronics, ventilated seat blowers, DCT transmission behavior, and factory paint integrity is critical before authorizing the final loan disbursement or signing RTO registration forms.
1. Tiger-Nose Grille & Star-Map LED Lights
- Inspect the full-width connected Star-Map LED lightbars across the front and rear for uniform brightness and zero internal condensation.
- Check dual-tone roof wrap or paint edges along the roof rails for bubbling or masking overspray marks.
2. Dual 10.25-inch Panoramic Display & Audio Checks
- Test both the digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen for touch latency or ghost touches.
- Verify 3-stage front seat ventilation operation (both cooling and blower speed).
- Check the 8-speaker Bose premium sound system at variable frequencies to identify any door speaker grille rattles.
3. ADAS Calibration & 360-Degree Camera Stitching
Check the 360-degree bird's eye view camera stitching on the central display. Misaligned cameras cause blind spots and distorted parking guidance lines.
