Complete Car PDI Checklist Before Delivery

Taking delivery of a new car is an exciting milestone. Conducting a thorough Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) before signing the final delivery paper ensures your vehicle is free of hidden shipping damage or cosmetic flaws.

1. Exterior Body & Paint Checks

Inspect the body under direct sunlight. Search for panel gaps, repaint marks, or scratches sustained during transit from the yard.

• Check for minor scratches or paint unevenness using paint thickness gauges.
• Verify door alignment and inspect rubber seals for tightness.
• Ensure headlights and taillights have no cracks or internal condensation.

2. Interior & Electrical Controls

Step into the cabin to test every electronic button and inspect interior trims.

• Check AC cooling temperature using an AC digital thermometer.
• Test the touchscreen display, speakers, and power windows.
• Inspect seat cushions and carpets for grease or dirt marks.
